How To Pay Your Cyprus Immovable Property Tax

In July 2016, the Cyprus House of Representatives finally passed a bill that would set the rates and payments for the 2016 Cyprus Immovable Property Tax.

The details are as follows:

The Cyprus Immovable Property Tax rates for 2016 are based on the 2015 rates.

Cyprus Property owners in 2016, will only have to pay 25% of their 2015 Cyprus Immovable Property Tax liability.

Brexit Update For British Expats In Cyprus

The possibility of British citizens having to apply for a visa to visit an EU country after Brexit has been raised lately. This is one of the proposals that the British government will have to discuss with the EU, once Article 50 has been invoked.

Cyprus Should Follow The UK With Stiffer Fines For Using A Telephone Whilst Driving

Last week the British government announced new stiffer fines for motorists using a mobile telephone whilst they are driving. The public were not persuaded enough by the low fines and points system already in place, to deter them from using their phones whilst driving. The new laws will hopefully change that attitude.
