President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades said on Monday that further consolidating and enhancing the competitiveness of Cyprus’ flag and maritime cluster remains one of the most important priorities of the Government. He was addressing the opening of “Maritime Cyprus 2017” Conference in Limassol. On Sunday evening, the President addressed a reception in Limassol and an official dinner at the Presidential Palace in Nicosia, on the occasion of the Maritime Cyprus 2017 conference

4. Cyprus President assures continued effort for solution, sees new effort after elections

Cyprus President Nicos Anastasiades assured on Sunday that his effort to reach a solution of the Cyprus problem will continue, expressing his conviction that a new effort will resume after the presidential elections of 2018. President Anastasiades was addressing an event in the context of the 37th anti-occupation march of Turkish occupied Morphou, in the village of Astromeritis.

5. Turkish occupied Morphou citizens seek Cyprus solution

Cypriots from the Turkish occupied town of Morphou have reiterated on Sunday their will for a solution through a resolution addressed to UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, that they handed over to UNFICYP officials at the Astromeritis crossing point in the context of the 37th anti occupation rally. The rally was organised by the Morphou municipality, in cooperation with the local authorities of the 26 local authorities of the Morphou region and its sports and cultural associations.

6. OSCE launches exchange project for Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot journalists

The OSCE`s (Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe) Representative on Freedom of the Media, Harlem Desir, officially launched on Monday in Nicosia an exchange project for Greek Cypriot and Turkish Cypriot journalists.CNA
