1. Cyprus to remain a reliable partner to Russia Cypriot President assures

President of Cyprus Nicos Anastasiades, assured Saturday that Cyprus will remain a reliable partner to Russia, especially since the country now emerges stronger than ever from an unprecedented crisis and its  recovery has been faster than anyone could predict. Addressing the 12th Cyprus– Russian Festival Limassol, the President said that the two countries share a long-standing partnership at all levels and in all fields, founded on concrete and deeply-entrenched historical, political, cultural and religious ties.

UNSG`s Special Adviser continues to work on common document, returns to Cyprus on Thursday, UN spokesperson tells CNA The UN Secretary General`s Special Adviser on Cyprus Espen Barth Eide continues to work on the document that will guide the discussions on security and guarantees and will return on Thursday to Cyprus for meetings with both sides, UN spokesperson in Cyprus Aleem Siddique has told CNA.

3. Greek Foreign Minister says he expects development on Cyprus issue

Greek Foreign Minister Nikos Kotzias, said that he expects developments on Cyprus issue, warning at the same time Britain, that Greek stance on big issues for the country would depend on its attitude towards the Cyprus problem.

4. Cyprus President pays Lebanon official visit

Bilateral relations, regional matters, relations between the EU and Lebanon but also recent developments in the Cyprus reunification process are expected to be discussed during the meetings Cyprus President Nicos Anstasiades will have in Lebanon in the context of his official visit to the country.

5. Whale and dolphin sightings in Cyprus waters

Five different species of whale and dolphin have been seen swimming within Cyprus’ marine environment in the context of a European programme aiming to collect information about the different species of cetaceans one comes across in the area.

6. Closed roads for Cyprus Rally Special stage in Nicosia

The Cyprus Rally CNP ASFALISTIKI Super Special Stage will take place on Saturday, June 17 in the roads in central Nicosia and the stage will be conducted twice the same day; on 11:27 in the morning and on 16:59 in the afternoon.CNA
