Information on Evretou Dam

Evretou Dam lies next to Evretou Village, an abandoned Turkish Cypriot village, in the Paphos District of Cyprus.

The dam was built as part of the Chrysochou Irrigation Project, with construction completed in 1986. The dam was also officially opened and ready for use in 1986.

Evretou Dam is the third largest rock fill dam in Cyprus and the water supply is fed into the dam from the nearby Stavros Tis Psokas River.

Evretou Dam is built at an altitude of 165 metres above sea level and has a height of 70 metres. The dam has a capacity of 24,000,000 M3 (Cubic Metres).

Evretou Dam is operated by the Cyprus Water Board.
