Vasa Kellakiou village lies in the Limassol District of Cyprus and is situated close to Asgata, Sanida, Kellaki, Kalavasos and Klonari villages. The location of the village is of near equal distance to the cities of Limassol and Larnaca, which are also close by.

The present site of the village was chosen as it was at the centre of all the surrounding small settlements in the area. The village offered safety in numbers and had an ample supply of water to sustain the residents and agriculture.

The name of the village was called Vasa, as in Greek, Vasi means the base, so the village was the base, or centre of the region. The addition of the word Kellakiou in the village name, was to confirm that the village was part of the local police station district based in the nearby village of Kellaki.
