Kolossi Castle is to be found on the outskirts of Kolossi Village, which lies in the Limassol District of Cyprus. The city of Limassol is close by, around 14 kilometres away.

The original Kolossi Castle is believed to have been built in 1210 by the Frankish rulers of the time. The castle was one of the main fortresses of the Crusaders on Cyprus.

The castle we see today was built in 1454 by the Commander of Kolossi, Louis de Magnac. The castle has a single three storey tower surrounded by a large clear area, so attackers may be seen from a distance.

Sugar was a very major product of the area, utilising the many plantation fields of sugar cane. The remains of a sugar factory is located to the east of the castle.

There are also ruins of a water mill and water tower around the castle area.
