Dhoros Village, sometimes spelt Doros, is located in the Limassol District and is around a 30 minute drive from the city of Limassol. The village lies off the Limassol to Troodos road and is close by to the villages of Lania, Monagri and Agios Georgios.

Dhoros is a small village which has kept it's historic culture, made easier by the very small population, with less than 200 people living there. The village is busier at the weekends, when family and friends visit. The village is also within a convenient commuting distance to Limassol, for schools and employment.

The close proximity to Limassol also has the advantage for people living in Limassol to keep weekend homes in the village. This means that many old village houses are slowly being renovated, but are keeping their traditionally architecture, with a modern design inside.

Dhoros is well known for the quality of it's almond trees and grapes. The grapes produce quality Commandaria, wines and zivania. Dhoros Village is also on the wine route and you may visit the local winery when the grapes are processed.

The grapes for Commandaria are dried in the fields before processing and it is an amazing sight to see the many fields with the dark lines of grapes drying in the sun.

The dominant feature of the landscape of Dhoros is the church, Panagia Galaktotrofousas and lies in the centre of the village. The square opposite the church is where the many festivals are held.
