The Kouris Dam is the main reservoir supplying water to Limassol, the second largest city in Cyprus.

The dam has a capacity of 115,000,000 cubic metres. The Cyprus Water Board operates the dam.

The dam is located 15 kilometres from Limassol on the Limassol to Platres road, nearby the villages of Alassa and Ypsonas. The village of Alassa lies opposite the dam and the village had to be relocated due to the construction of the dam.

The construction contract for the dam was awarded in January 1984, construction began on September 1 1984 and was completed in September 1988. The dam was officially opened by President George Vasiliou on 22 April 1989.

The Kouris Dam is also used for sports such as water skiing and fishing.
