Information for Cyprus Expat owners using Cyprus Airways to transport their pets

Pets are generally accepted on Cyprus Airways flights and they may travel in either the cabin or the cargo hold as checked baggage.

Pets must have valid health and vaccination certificates, entry permits and any other documents required by countries of destination or transit.

Pets travelling in the cabin are subject to a total maximum gross weight, to include the pet and container, of 8 kilos. The dimensions of the container must not exceed 45 - 60 - 40 cm.

There are exclusion dates and routes applicable rules, so it is advisable to check with Cyprus Airways before committing to any obligations beforehand.

Pets travelling in the cabin and cargo hold are subject to the IATA excess baggage rates.
