Information for cyprus Expat on how to arrange Cyprus administration matters locally, using Cyprus Citizen Service Centres (CSC'S)

The Cyprus Government has introduced an efficient system where you may process many Cyprus administration matters locally. These valuable local processing centres are able to save you an enormous amount of time, therefore avoiding those crowded Government Ministries.

Fast, efficient, offering a multitude of services, these Citizen Service Centres are able to help people with their administration almost immediately. Where the centre is unable to help the person immediately, they are able to handle the whole transaction on behalf of the applicant, and save them having to visit the various Government depts.

There are a total of 6 Government Departments currently represented, offering over 50 services, these being:

The Land and Surveys Department - for copies of cadastral plans

The Civil Registry and Migration - for services provided by District Administrations

The Department of Social Insurance

The Ministry of Health - for Medical Cards, European health Insurance Cards (EHIC)

The Road Transport Department

The Grants and Allowances Service of The Ministry of Finance

The Citizen Service Centre are able to help with the issuing of documents and certificates for the following:

Road Tax License, Motor Vehicle Immobilization, International Driving License, Driving License, Identity card, Birth Certificate, Permanent Residence Certificate, European Health Insurance Card, Social Insurance Contributions record, Certificates to those insured under the Social Insurance Sceme.

Other helpful services include help with the submission of applications for:

Employment Injury Benefit, Marriage Grants, Sickness Benefits, Student Grant, Refugee Identity Card, Child Allowance, Maternity Grant, Mother Allowance, Maternity Allowance, Registration in the Electoral Register / change of residence address of Electors, Passport, Old Age Pension, Social Pension, Invalidity Pension and other pensions.

There are 5 Citizen Service Centres in Cyprus at the moment. The Cyprus Government will see the results of these pilot centres before committing to further centres around the island.
